Sometimes individual therapy is the most appropriate therapy modality. Deb has worked extensively in therapy addressing the following issues.
Depression:
Suicidal ideation, cutting, irritability and thought problems. Regression and irritability in children. Depressive symptoms in both women (withdrawal) and men (aggression), lack of motivation, low self-esteem, difficulty concentrating, procrastination, inability to complete every day tasks, social withdrawal, oversleeping, or insomnia
Postpartum Depression:
Women experience similar symptoms (as above), except now there is an infant to care for. The anxiety, and prolonged periods of insufficient sleep that accompanies this debilitating disorder can be overwhelming
Anxiety:
Generalized anxiety disorder, panic attacks, phobias
Stress Management and Reduction
Concrete tools, exercises and skills to identify stress early and reduce its impact on your daily life and relationships
Grief and Loss:
Natural or accidental death of a family member, a partner, or a friend
Suicide
Loss of a job, a relationship, a home, one’s health, or a childhood due to abuse or neglect
Loss of a dream, a hope, or an illusion
Trauma:
Childhood sexual abuse, attachment ruptures, multiple placements for children in the foster care system, domestic violence, rape, physical, mental and emotional abuse, or accidents

Young adults and older adults seeking intimacy and a shared life with a significant other often triggers unresolved inner conflict or feelings related to family history or previous relational issues.
